One Facet

One facet of this particularly offensive wargame scenario which isn’t even close to being explored is the idea that insurrections, regardless of the particular actors, don’t do so without cause. All insurrections are responses to the actions of those who hold power through legitimate means. There are no rebellions without a state or state actors doing things which incite a reaction. I know it’s difficult for most to imagine a scenario in which an insurrection is legitimate, because, to most, it’s difficult to imagine the state that we’ve selected through voting doing things which specifically cause insurrectionist behavior from the populace.
Rebels do not appear out of nowhere. There is a cause. And it isn’t simple racism.
