Irresponsible It Will Be

Senators McCain and Kyl in a letter to President Obama concerning illegal immigration:
The violence has crossed the border and escalated to a point where many Arizonans do not feel safe within their own homes or on their own property . . . It would be irresponsible not to do everything we can to stop the escalating violence along the border with Mexico.
To which I ask, “Then ending the drug war as we know it is on the table? I mean if ‘everything we can’ really means ‘everything we can.'” If not, then your posturing means nothing and you have informed the American people loud and clear that “irresponsible it will be.”
