Ownership Changing Hands

In the event you’re unclear of what a change in ownership looks like, look here and see for yourself. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV):

I understand Senator Paul’s exasperation because this is something that is extremely important to him and there was every desire from my perspective and I think this body to have a full, complete debate on the Patriot Act. But the Senate doesn’t always work that way. … We cannot let this Patriot Act expire. I have a personal responsibility to try to get this bill done as soon as possible…The time has come for me to take some action.

A Democrat, trying dutifully to ram the extension of the Patriot Act, along with it’s most egregious parts, through the Senate to an eagerly awaiting President Obama (who campaigned against The Patriot Act), while a lone libertarian-leaning Republican does everything within his power to delay passage and use that delay as a platform to spread the message of freedom from government intrusion. How evil of him.
