The 4th Amendment is Dead

4th Amendment we hardly knew ye. From the court’s decision:
As other circuits have held, and as the Supreme Court has strongly suggested, screening passengers at an airport is an ‘administrative search’ because the primary goal is not to determine whether any passenger has committed a crime but rather to protect the public from a terrorist attack.
Apparently they have access to a different document than I do, because I don’t remember reading anything about some arbitrary difference between “administrative” searches and “criminal” searches. My copy of the Constitution reads,
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
What the fuck is so ambiguous about “shall not be violated”?
