The society appears to have conceded that it needs to correct previous statements. It said: “Any public perception that science is somehow fully settled is wholly incorrect — there is always room for new observations, theories, measurements.” This contradicts a comment by the society’s previous president, Lord May, who was once quoted as saying: “The debate on climate change is over.”

No Shit.

Any scientist who would claim that an ongoing scientific debate is over is a fraud. Science advances human knowledge only because it is so often wrong.  That those responsible for forming and proliferating the alarmist theory on climate change, that it is caused by energy greedy humans, especially those eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevil corporashuns, and that the world will end at any moment if we don’t act now, have also been actively hiding information concerning alternative theories, falsifying and omiting pertinent evidence¹ on global temperatures which don’t fit their thesis, and bullying skeptical scientists in to submission is shameful to science, and until these taxpayer subsidized fund-hungry fuckers are replaced by those who are interested in the real science of climate change, as opposed to the evangelical version, they should be paid no heed.  It’s time that those of us interested in truth, not climatological religion, do some bullying of our own.  It’s time that science be reclaimed by scientists and be rid of modern day shamans.

1.  For those who might say that the the Medieval Warm Period was only a regional phenomena, I would point you towards this new study which shows clear evidence that it was indeed a global phenomena and that it should drastically change the ways we think about our current warming trend (which has not been happening in over a decade I might add).
