Ms. Lincoln avoided becoming the third senator this year to be defeated by her own party. Labor unions and liberal groups had sought to make an example of Ms. Lincoln for her deviation from liberal positions, putting millions of dollars behind Lt. Gov. Bill Halter’s unsuccessful challenge.
Though I’m of mind that all incumbents need to go, I can’t think of a single reason why Lincoln winning the Arkansas primary in the face of heavy union and other libertarded special interest spending isn’t the perfect example of the lesser of two evils being acceptable.
