After languishing for a couple of years, the effort to build a soccer and football complex and a Kentucky Pro Football Players Hall of Fame in Nicholasville has been reinvigorated.
Local officials say they have a good chance of obtaining federal funding that will help start the first phase of construction for what eventually will become a $4.6 million complex with a 4,000-seat stadium.
And if the complex gets so much as 1 cent from the federal government, never will I set foot there short of my son being required to attend a game there. It’s a shame too, because the place sounds amazing, and is but a hop, skip, and a jump from my house.
