Principles

Some politicians have them, the vast majority do not. Freshman Sen. Rand Paul is making good on his promise to cut federal spending. The Kentucky Republican and tea-party favorite said Thursday he’s returning $500,000 to the U.S. Treasury — money from his operating budget that his office never spent. The half million dollars represents about […]

FBI: Hero Villians

Yet another example of the fine law enforcement we have in our country. And I mean “creates big problems so that they can come up with a brilliant solution and save the day” when I write “fine”.

Rat Infestation

Two Occupy Camps in DC are so fucking disgusting that they have been infested by hordes of rats. The rat population around the two Occupy D.C. camps at McPherson Square and Freedom Plaza has “exploded”since protesters began their vigil in October, according to Mohammad N. Akhter, the director of the District’s Department of Health. Akhter […]

The Federal Government Doesn’t Do That

Can politicians be any more brazen than simply lying directly to voters without qualm? I guess those 98,000+ people in federal prison for drug offenses (more than triple the number of people than for any other crime, and almost a full half of all people in federal prison) don’t count.

Why Worry About Educating?

And some people wonder why I left the academy. It just couldn’t be that it’s less concerned with educating its students than indoctrinating them with leftist ideology. Columbia University will offer a new course for upperclassmen and grad students next semester. An Occupy Wall Street class will send students into the field and will be […]

Maybe British Columbia will start giving them free crack too. Crack addicts in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside have started receiving free crack pipes as part of a Vancouver Coastal Health Authority harm reduction strategy aimed at curbing the spread of disease. Part of a $60,000 trial project first announced in August, the pipes are just one […]
