Why Worry About Educating?

And some people wonder why I left the academy. It just couldn’t be that it’s less concerned with educating its students than indoctrinating them with leftist ideology.
Columbia University will offer a new course for upperclassmen and grad students next semester. An Occupy Wall Street class will send students into the field and will be taught by Dr. Hannah Appel, a veteran of the Occupy movement.
The course begins next semester and will be divided between class work at Columbia’s Morningside Heights campus and fieldwork that will require students to become involved with the Occupy movement outside of the classroom.
The course will be called “Occupy the Field: Global Finance, Inequality, Social Movement” it will be run by the anthropology department.
That’s a way to make sure that the movement doesn’t fizzle out naturally (as it mostly seems to have in most places): give away college credit just the same as if it were a math or physics course!
I wonder if they have sections of the course devoted to raping girls in their tents and purposefully hiding sex crimes from the police, or how to properly marginalize those lower than you, or shitting in public so as to not get caught. Inquiring minds want to know!
