Apparently Neocons are Now “Centrists”

Gerald F. Seib via Captital Journal of The New York Times:
Meanwhile, on the Republican side, the tea-party movement is pushing Republicans to the right en masse. Even in places where tea party-styled candidates don’t win, they are likely to force more-traditional Republican candidates off center ground to survive.
In what fucking world can we define the GOP establishment, and the neocon fucktards who have had a firm grip on it, as centrists? The only thing that the Conservatards who have had control of the GOP have in common with the supposed centrist Libertards currently in Congress is that they both favor massive government which asserts itself forcefully on the people. Though these supposed “fringe right wing ideologues” who are a product of the Tea Party have some differences between their philosophies and those of their Libertard peers which will never be bridged, they have more in common than most people want to give them credit for. Most are against the war in Iraq, The Patriot Act and Big Government intrusions on our individual privacy. Of course it can be argued that current Demotards aren’t against those things now that Obama has co-opted those decisions and policies and made them his own, but I would be willing to bet that, political grandstanding aside, the new Congress may find common ground without much problem and find solutions to major problems. If not they will be out of a job until we can find those who do. What this election season should show us, more than anything else, is that Americans have awakened from our long slumber, and are again willing to use the power of our vote in order to dictate policy.
