The Cost of Border Security

I guess we didn’t have to wait very long. Nicholas Casey of The Wall Street Journal:
It was the second time in eight days that a Mexican was killed on the international border by U.S. authorities. On May 31, Anastasio Hernández, a Mexican migrant not related to Sergio, was shocked to death with a stun gun by a border agent while crossing between Tijuana and San Diego. Mexican President Felipe Calderón condemned the killing, calling the event “torture and death.”
Though neither of these incidents took place in Arizona, our idea of border security, stop everyone at all costs, leads to only this place.
