Don’t Get Me Wrong

There has been a whole lot of me harping, criticizing, and cussing about democrats of late. There is a simple reason for that: they are the only ones doing something. Demotards accuse Republitards of being the party of no, saying essentially that they are trying to throw a wrench in the congressional machine. Make no mistake: this is a good thing. Congresscritters have a long history of fucking shit up because of their endless need to expand the size and scope of government. This comes from their need to Do Something™, when what really needs to be done is actually not doing, but undoing.

But don’t get me wrong. Despite all of my anti-libertarded posts of late, I am not a conservatard, because they are douches too. Downsizing Government:

Republicans on the Senate Appropriations Committee have announced support for caps on the discretionary spending portion of the federal budget. According to press reports, discretionary spending under the cap for fiscal year 2011 would be approximately $20 billion less than what the president has proposed.

Just so we’re clear, our federal spending this year has exceeded $3,000,000,000,000, with our deficit at $1,400,000,000,000. Cutting $20 billion from that number makes no fucking difference, yet republitards want us to see it as some huge coup for the American taxpayer. A sign that they are serious about reforming federal spending habits.

GOP: here’s a clue. Stop fucking insulting me, and take your asses back to the drawing board with this bullshit. Until you can come up with a number in the trillion dollar region, save your breath on the whole “we’re serious about cutting spending” fucktardedness.
