The UK’s tax collection agency is putting forth a proposal that all employers send employee paychecks to the government, after which the government would deduct what it deems as the appropriate tax and pay the employees by bank transfer.
This is the inevitable destination of the socialist utopia. It’s pretty shitty to think that some government bureaucrat in a cheap suit gets to decide how much earned income a person is deemed worthy of keeping.
Why is it again that so many people strive to be like Europe?

You know… I recall a certain tea party that didn’t involve the Moral Majority, but involved a smallish group of gentlemen who had enough of English rule, and fucking threw their tea off a boat and into the water because of their taxing practices.
They knew that if you give in on small stupid taxes, it leads to big retarded taxes.
This led to the formation of self government that was purposely the opposite of the Great United Kingdom… why would we want to undo their work?
