Despite some potential misgivings about Rand Paul as a candidate, I will be voting for him for the simple reason that every law enforcement agency in the state has sided with Conway. If cops unanimously support a particular candidate, surely said candidate is an immoral statist ready to use cops violently in order to support their personal political agenda. Paul is for ending the War on People Who Use Drugs at the federal level. That could be the largest step for personal liberty we can take at this point, and I’m surely not going to vote for anyone who’s all for the continuance of immoral federal drug policy. Anyone who would vote for a pro-drug war candidate is not serious about personal liberty.
