A Lost Opportunity

Something tells me that the terminally libertarded are very upset at this; that, rather than a good thing, they have been robbed of an opportunity to further use the hyperbolic oil spill coverage as a means to further the progressive agenda. The Washington Post:

Oil from the BP blowout is degrading rapidly in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico and becoming increasingly difficult to find on the water surface, the head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said Tuesday.

“The light crude oil is biodegrading quickly,” NOAA director Jane Lubchenco said during the response team daily briefing. “We know that a significant amount of the oil has dispersed and been biodegraded by naturally occurring bacteria.”

One thing that envirotards seem fucking incapable of understanding is that crude oil, oil straight from the earth, is every bit as natural and organic as the granola they buy from the local co-op. It’s not that same as the castrol you put in your car. But since it’s the product “teh big oil”, their brains collectively fart as they try to pretend that crude oil is teh most dangerous thing EVAR.

Hopefully this very good news, that the spilled oil is rapidly being biodegraded via natural processes and that we will indeed avoid an environmental catastrophe, won’t be lost on greentards, considering it’s all about the environment and all, though I won’t be holding my breath, because we all know that the environment isn’t what it’s all about.
