Sheriff Lee Baca in an interview with Robert Faturechi of the L.A. Times:

Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca said Friday his deputies’ marijuana enforcement would not change even if Proposition 19, which would legalize the drug in California, passes Nov. 2.

“Proposition 19 is not going to pass, even if it passes,” Baca said in a news conference Friday at sheriff’s headquarters in Monterey Park.

Baca, whose department polices three-fourths of the county, was bolstered Friday by an announcement from the Obama administration that federal officials would continue to “vigorously enforce” marijuana laws in California, even if state voters pass the measure.

Baca said the proposition was superseded by federal law and if passed, would be found unconstitutional. (Emphasis Added)

Two things, Sheriff Fucktard:

1. It’s nice to see that you have so much respect for the voters of LA County who hired you to enforce the laws of LA County and the state of California, NOT fucking federal law. Here’s a hint: as a law enforcement representative, it’s a good idea to follow the law and NOT whatever the fuck you think is appropriate.

2. You’re a fucking cop, not a federal justice, so, in honesty, no one gives a shit about your view of what is and what isn’t constitutional. And even if they did, no where in your job description does it ask you to interpret the constitutionality of a law and decide for yourself whether you want to ignore it or not.
